


Dr. Teimojin Tan is a unique blend of survivalist and healer, combining years of expertise as an Emergency Room physician with the hard-earned survival skills honed through extreme wilderness challenges. Featured on Alone Season 9, Dr. Tan’s journey captivated millions as he survived 63 days in isolation in the unforgiving wilderness of Labrador, Canada.
Born in Montreal and raised in a multicultural environment, Dr. Tan was always drawn to global exploration, indigenous cultures, and the untamed outdoors. His passion for survival deepened during his service in the Canadian Army Reserve, where he trained in Cold Weather Warfare & Survival under the guidance of the Cree Rangers. Later, his medical studies at Michigan State University, paired with non-profit work in South America and Africa, inspired him to combine his love for medicine and survival education into something transformative.
Now, as the founder of Survival Doctors®, Dr. Tan shares his knowledge of wilderness medicine and survival with audiences worldwide, empowering them to face life’s most extreme challenges with confidence and preparedness.
